Don't stop trying to find me here amidst the chaos... it's blinding and sometimes I think I can't find my way out and I find myself wanting to give up. Tomorrow is another day and I hope to say, I will not give up on love today. Thank you Sara for your beautiful words and music!
Finally, after a five year break new music by one of my favorite artists and this song hits home...
Fire
That comes and stays fire
On blood and veins fire
I've only ever wanted fire
In my chest
In my mouth
On my tongue
In my mind
And my soul
So my lungs can breathe in fire
Cannot get enough of this song! Such poetry and that voice!
So need someone to MOVE ME-Move me baby!!!
I still watch you when you're groovin'
As if through water from the bottom of a pool
You're movin' without movin'
And when you move, I'm moved
You are a call to motion
There, all of you a verb in perfect view
Like Jonah on the ocean
When you move, I'm moved
When you move
I'm put to mind of all that I wanna be
When you move
I could never define all that you are to me
So move me, baby
Shake like the bough of a willow tree
You do it naturally
Move me, baby
You are the rite of movement
Its reasonin' made lucid and cool
I know it's no improvement
When you move, I move
You're less Polunin leapin'
Or Fred Astaire in sequins
Honey, you, you're Atlas in his sleepin'
And when you move, I'm moved
When you move
I can recall somethin' that's gone from me
When you move
Honey, I'm put in awe of somethin' so flawed and free
So move me, baby
Shake like the bough of a willow tree
You do it naturally
Move me, baby
So move me, baby
Like you've nothin' left to lose
And nothin' to prove
Move me, baby
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Oh baby, oh baby
Move like grey skies
Move like a bird of paradise
Move like an odd sight come out at night
Move me, baby
Shake like the bough of a willow tree
You do it naturally
Move me, baby
So move me, baby
Like you've nothin' left to lose
And nothin' to prove
Move me, baby
So move me, baby
Shake like the bough of a willow tree
You do it naturally
Move me, baby
Hello darkness my old friend I've come to talk with you again...
Been a long time of silence on this old blog. I miss it but time slips by too fast these days.
I walk alone in restless dreams only to wake up and touch the sound of silence and don't dare disturb the sound of silence and I no longer bow down and pray to that neon god that's made because His presence is unknown to me.
A lot has passed these few months but a few notes to list...
R.I.P Dianne and I"m sorry we never connected after you left as that was my bad for not being able to reach out to you.
R.I.P. Max--hope you and Chulo find each other across that rainbow bridge.
Sometimes just the sky is dark and grey which follows your mood of the day
but not today thanks to last night and seeing my heroine Mary Chapin Carpenter perform at her sold out show in the Heights. Thirty years she's been singing and I've been a fan of hers ever since as her songs hit so close to home bringing tears and joy and sorrow yet providing shelter from the storms of life. I remember her album: Time*Sex*Love* which is still one of my all time favorites and was played endlessly at the time of its release. Perhaps now with fall here, its time again to open a bottle of wine and give that album another listen.
In my loneliness... I need your caress, a glass of wine, a massage, a kiss from you, a shoulder to lean on but you are far away and here I sit closing my eyes to fight the sadness, and so I wait for you while meditating...
One of the saddest songs by old blue eyes himself.
Lordy, lordy where did 40 go?! 40 years since the class of 1978 at Bellaire High. Nice to catch up with old friends and classmates and mourn those who have passed. Miss the old gang of friends who would pile up in one car for a lunch run during our senior year--favorite place to head to was Der Wiener Schnizel!! Oh and Sexy Rexy is still as SEXY as ever--even more so now with the grey tint temples on that full set of hair and not bald like so many others! I got a hand shake but sure would've loved a hug!! Missed the 30 but did attend the 10 and 20 and looking forward to the 50 year reunion! Sad to see fewer and fewer of us from a class of over 700!! Rest in Peace to John Ruth (my middle school crush) and to fellow classmate Mickey Pate.
This song has been on my repeat playlist of late and appropriate on this first day of Spring. Although, surprisingly today didn't feel like a spring--more like the first day of fall as the weather was absolutely glorious!! Not many more days like this left as we near April and inch closer to the dreaded summer heat and humidity here.
So love a day when I'm at home with no plans for going anywhere and hair is barely brushed and wearing no makeup and my stubborn spirit is recharged and yes wild is my favorite color!
Danke Schoen-thank you for all the joy ...
the picture show on the second balcony...
You didn't want to go dutch treat...
You were sweet as always
No need to explain
I will always recall those special moments....
Thank you for seeing me again as we go our separate ways ...
